Kensington is renowned for its immaculate suburbs, luxury restaurants, antiques, museums and grand houses. The grandest building however, is none other than Kensington Palace. The staterooms and gardens are open to the public, a must-see trip if you wish to discover the birthplace and childhood of Queen Victoria.
If you wish to journey back to times long before Queen Victoria, however, then look no further than the National History Museum. This building exhibits a large range of creatures and specimens that existed on Earth many millions of years ago, with the museum particularly renowned for its dinosaur skeleton displays.
After a quick tube journey, shoppers can enjoy browsing the boutique and antique stores along Kensington High Street. You can also visit the neighbouring Kensington Church Street, an older section of town that's great for window shopping, with its beautiful flower decorations and delightful pubs.
As an alternative, you can head to the nearby Notting Hill and Portobello Road markets or Westfield London shopping centre where you will find plenty of stores to choose from.
You will find a plethora of intriguing restaurants and bars along Kensington High Street, one of them being Romulu Cafe. This cafe & restaurant will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact! Foodies consider the Philippines to be Asia's best-kept culinary secret, and Romulu Cafe certainly lives up to this claim. They invite you to embark on a culinary journey to learn more about their delicious, flavorful, and historically rich cuisine. Sit back in delight as you savour the cherished dishes that have been passed down their family through the centuries.
