Our apartment building is close to Slough Retail Park which offers various shopping opportunities. It is also ideally placed for the many business headquarters and offices in this area and with Slough train station only 1.6 miles away it’s well-placed for those looking to commute or travel further afield. In the centre of town, The Curve houses a library, a gallery hosting monthly exhibitions of local artists, Slough Museum and a performance venue. Burnham Beeches Golf Club is a 12-minute drive from our serviced apartments, and Windsor Castle, which has been home to 40 monarchs since its founding in the 11th century, is a 15-minute drive. For nature fans, there’s plenty of green space to enjoy. Grade II listed Herschel Park, near Upton, is a hidden gem of a nature reserve. An 11-minute drive will get you to Burnham Beeches Nature Reserve; enjoy walking and cycling through the sprawling woodland conservation area with ancient beech trees. 20 minutes’ drive away is Black Park Country Park, covering more than 500 acres – if that doesn’t keep you occupied, there’s also a Go Ape in the park!
Our serviced apartments are close to Slough Retail Park, where you can find a number of homeware and furniture stores. In the centre of Slough, the Queensmere Observatory Shopping Centre houses high-street fashion brands as well as a cinema showing latest releases. It's a short 12-minute drive to Windsor Royal Station, housing a variety of shops in an 1850s rail station, and nearby Windsor Yards, where you can find the biggest names in UK retail.
Gino’s Café has been serving up freshly-made paninis and sandwiches since 1989 so it’s a great place to stop for bite. Fair and ethically-traded coffee and wholesome hearty food is on the menu at Caffe Kix, while family-run Priestley Bakers serves up delicious traditional bakes perfect for breakfast or lunch. On Slough’s busy High Street, you’ll find contemporary dishes and sushi at Mori Japanese while Steakout Slough offers halal steaks cooked on an open grill. The Three Tuns, housed in a Grade II-listed building, is a popular bar and grill offering Indian food served in a comfortable, trendy setting; the Masala & Coal Kitchen serves up Indian BBQ to make your mouth water. A lovely spot to enjoy a drink after a bracing walk is The Emperor, near Burnham Beeches, which dates back some 300 years.
Deco Bar & Lounge is a popular club hosting DJ nights, with a lively atmosphere. There are plenty of great pubs in the area to enjoy an evening drink. A 10-minute walk from our serviced apartments will get you to The Long Barn, a 17th-century community pub boasting rustic charm and a family- and dog-friendly atmosphere. The sunny terrace is a lovely spot for an evening drink on good weather days.
