Things to do around Limehouse Serviced Apartments


Limehouse has many attractions worth seeing but the most recommended are: Limehouse Basin, St Anne’s Church, the King Edward Memorial Park and Stepney City Farm.

Limehouse Basin with its beautiful marina is the main landmark of this area connected to the River Thames and the London Canal system. If you visit St Anne’s Church look out for the pipe organ, it was designed by John Gray and Frederick Davison. They were awarded 1st place in the Great Exhibition in 1851 for the construction and manufacture of the organ. The church occasionally holds classical concerts for the orchestra Docklands Sinfonia. It is definitely worth the trip.


Limehouse offers plenty of shops for those who love to indulge. Jubilee Place Mall is an underground shopping mall located on the south side of Canary Warf. It is home to a range of fashion retailers, cafes and restaurants. Also in Limehouse, you can find Billingsgate Market, the UK’s largest inland fish market. The ground floor has a total of 98 stands, 30 shops and two cafes. It offers a fantastic range of colourful and good quality fresh and frozen fish for those who buy in bulk.

Food & Drink

In Limehouse, there is a diverse range of café and restaurants, cuisines from Indian, Thai, Chinese, South American and Italian. La Figa Restaurant is a stylish Italian restaurant, which offers a traditional menu. From the bright and colourful interior inside outside has a large seating area with a blue fountain.

Another popular restaurant is The Narrow, owned by British Multi-Michelin star, celebrity chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay. It is a Grade ll listed riverside building, bar and terrace gastropub. This is perfect for summer evenings as you can enjoy the traditional British menu with a hint of Mediterranean fusion whilst dining overlooking the River Thames.
