Some of London’s most iconic attractions can be found within two miles, including Stamford Bridge, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Buckingham Palace and the Royal Albert Hall – all easily reached by public transport. Fans of museums are in luck, with Exhibition Road a pleasant 14-minute walk away; here you’ll find the V&A Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum – all great options for a family day out! In the nineteenth century, Chelsea was a hub for Victorian artists such as Rossetti, Turner and Whistler – nowadays, find your art fix at the Saatchi Gallery, the Pontone Gallery or Clarendon Fine Arts. If you fancy a stroll, head down to Chelsea embankment for views of the Thames; while there, you may want to visit the hidden gem that is Chelsea Physic Garden, which was established in the 1600s to grow medicinal plants and still houses some 5,000 plants today.
Explore fashion, beauty, food and culture in the heart of Chelsea at Duke of York Square, just seven minutes’ walk from our serviced apartments. The Square has over 30 chic boutiques, along with seven restaurants offering al fresco dining. What’s more, every Saturday it hosts an open-air Fine Food Market, curated by Partridges, offering artisanal and locally-produced gourmet foods – stalls include traditional Sicilian desserts at Casa Cannoli, British staple fish ‘n’ chips (with a twist) at Fins & Trotters, and handmade filo pastries at Hush Hush Chefs, among so many others! On King’s Road you’ll find a mile-long stretch of more than 160 shops including the iconic Peter Jones department store, independent boutiques and well-known brands. And with a delightful 10-minute walk, you’ll be in the retail heaven that is Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, where you can explore iconic Harrods, home to big-name brands, independent boutiques and high-end designers selling fashion, accessories, luxury beauty, fine jewellery and watches, food, furniture and more. Knightsbridge is also home to Harvey Nichols and a range of independent designer shops and boutiques.
